PR do not have a common policy except some vaguely defined concepts of good governance, human rights and democracy.

PAS' concepts of human rights and democracy is based on Islam but they will swore a dog has 3 legs if that can get them to win the Federal govt.

DAP is used to be based on socialism but they have long passed that. As seen in Penang, they have become fully "business friendly". For all their talk of meritocracy, they will put the Chinese interests first and then let the Indians and Malays share the spoils (if there are any remaining that is). Again this is clearly seen in Penang and to some extend Perak. Even their decision of switch to Toyota Camry is said by some people as a move to support Chinese business (UMW) rather than Proton or Honda.

PKR is basically UMNO-lite. They are a party that depends of Anwar for policies. Anwar will say anything that help him to be the next PM. But underneath the party is just a copy of UMNO with members waiting for the contracts and positions once the power is captured.

As such, there can be no alignment among them. We have seen in many 3rd world countries when they were fighting for indpendence, the freedom fighters were united. Mainly united by their common objectives. But once achieving their goals, then the tasks turns to having a common working methods and policies. And then the country usually turns into a civil war. This is what will happen if PR wins the Federal govt. With DAP mainly Chinese and PKR & PAS representing Malays, the losers will be Indians and those from East Malaysia.
