Anyway Poobalan…this is my view.

Both Dr M and SV have outlived their usefulness. Uncle Sam is a dinosaur that holding MIC back from truly reforming and transforming. He has no excuse on the lack of good leaders since the younger ones are much more dynamic and capable. As for Dr M, as much as we respect his contributions, I would rather see him share his views if and when needed. His comments after retirement had only made many of us to lose respect for him since these comments are always driven by some hidden agenda than nuetral opinion.

As for money politics during the MIC elections, yes, I was informed by those attended that it was rather rampant. Some candidates won purely because of their monetary incentives (hint : look for upset winners).
