<description>TAMIL LANGUAGE GROWTH is the objective and project of the SRI PETALING branch of the Malaysian Ceylonese Congress. As branch chairman, I personally take care of this project, and our intent is 500 TAMIL CLASSES all over the country. We are pooling the resources of retired Tamil school teachers (500+ Tamil schools….mainly in rural areas); graduate students of Indian studies, senior people and others to teach Tamil in their respective homes, with the dining table as a platform. They keep the monthly fees of RM30 per student for 2 weekly lessons. The idea is to get the urban children to speak, read and write TAMIL. An ardous task, but worth every one of the 247 alphabets.

Do moot this plan of action/idea in your locality, be it anywhere in the world. My on going action is the pooling of names, tel no, location by town.,village.,or street etc and have a published directory of MALAYSIAN TAMIL TEACHERS. Also in the mill, is newspaper advts, to introduce the Tamil teachers to the community.

Any ideas/suggestions. Clasees are for children aged below 12. I will share a surprise. Adults have asked for public speaking classes.

Awaken. Tamil Molli Valarga.
