This is the guy who said he can't speak Malay (despite been a policeman for many years) and gave his evidence in Tamil during the trial of the Mongolian girl. I think the writer has mercifully left out some unpleasant aspects of Bala's life. Like why he "left" the police force..... Why I am not surprised ?
