I like reading MK because they tend to give more coverage. If Star/NST writes 5 paragraphs, MK will have 7 or 8, with another few more on related issues. Sometimes the writeup in Star/NST is just like summary.

I'm not sure about censorship in MK.

As for my blog, I only delete postings that have personal attack (for example those that attack you, killer), those that have excessive profanity till 'm lazy to edit it, those that threaten me (yup, had a few of those), forwarded email, and spam comments. Rest assured, NO OTHER comments are deleted. And of course no manipulation of polls. But, that me saying it and no one else to verify.

And Readers of Mkini and Poobalan.com are definitely anti-establishment la. Ini pun tak tau meh ?
- I think only about 10 commenters in here are pro-opposition, not sure about the readers though. Anti-establishment sounds very grand. What does it mean actually?

the issue here is that the current captain never allowed anyone to grow as a next leader . He developed many soldiers but not leaders !
He wants only 'yes-man' . If we study the history since SV took over it will spell what i wrote here . One last veteran fought till today (Subra) and now has been sidelined (for good?) .
The captain is more interested to sustain in his post rather than make the party 'get-set' for next phase of leadership .

As for why 3350 branch leaders support ..... no surprise lar.... We know SV has closed down many many branches which opposed him or supported Subra . So the left overs are merely 'yes-man' branch leaders .

Pls go around and talk to Chinese and read their blogs .... they are much more particular about top leadership and it's change rather than worshipping dinos.
Since losing PG , i see PG chinese wanted Gerakan to affiliated with PR instead of BN .

Probably , as Novinthen pointed , the current branches want SV . But if the party were to attract more ppl especially the young generation it needs change in leadership . It needs dynamic and bold leaders . One example , if someone like uthaya to lead the party just imagine the overwhelming support that the party will get .

Bhagvad Gita :
Whatever is yours today was somebody else's yesterday and will be somebody else's tomorrow.
'Change' is the law of the universe .

Did i ever disagree in MIC needs change topic? :) Changes are coming. Leaders are being replace one by one. Its not like cutting down Banana trees , one chop we remove everyone. It must be done slowly and swiftly. Even THE KING is going away in 2012. And he NOT LIKE OTHER PARTIES , asked MEMBERS to pick their new leader. He is not appointing next leader :)

And Readers of Mkini and Poobalan.com are definitely anti-establishment la. Ini pun tak tau meh ?

The polls NO NEED TO BE MANIPULATED. The results are true 101% :) Its just they are asking everybody who hates DSSV :)

Its just how we see it. For those who attended MIC AGM would know how 3350 branch leaders still have hope in MIC and DSSV leadership :) . DSSV even dared them to make a no confidence vote. :) U should have seen most senior member of party , Tan Sri Devaki Krishnan's speech :)

P.S : However, I also know of many neutral MK readers - not pro-BN or pro-opposition people. <-- Ermm 6,000 who voted , im sure MP knows many of them. LOL.

1. i would agree with the results of M'siakini . I know many of it's readers (as MP said) neutral or critic both PR/BN . It's fair enough .
2. Not surprised at all with regards to the poll results . You can see loser coming to defend though it's a public survey and not done at a cawangan PR .
3. Per my sources and links in MIC , i know that Subra and Devamany have better respect compared to other thugs . If the members think it should not join PR than a least it shd remove current leadership(for good) and allow Subra to lead and give room to Devamany to grow .
Saravan ?? pls lah..... you guys would have known his past life by now ......

Poobalan

I also think it is the time for change for MIC in terms of leadership. Fortunately for MIC they do have some good young leaders who are not just educated but also multi-lingual and with excellent credibility.

However, I am not a MIC member and it is only fair that this is decided by MIC members themselves.

As for MK, I don't think the poll is rigged but I believe the system can be rigged by IT-savvy people (I am sure you know what I mean, don't you). But looking at the response as well as the results of past polls we know that the readers of MKini are generally (majority) pro-Opposition.

Also, altough MKini is a more balanced in their reporting, but they tend to side with the Opposition and some of their reports can be clearly seen as taking sides rather than keeping an objective stance. It is easy to detect such biased reportings, just look for excessive adjectives and emotions in reports. A nuetral report would report in an unemotional and non-judgemental way.

Also you might not know, Mkini also practices censorship where the letters critical of Oppo are kept to a certain level so that a veneer of nuetrality is maintained. I am speaking from my personal experience as well as the experience of my friends.

As for your website, I don't think the inaccuracy is due to manipulation by yourself. There could be other reasons, I wouldn't know.

Novinthen

Hahahaha...a good analogy..

To add to your point...

I remember the was poll on Najib by Mkini recently. Most of them think he is guilty of murdering Altantunya. This is without trial or even without a shred of evidence (except the SD by RPK). So that should give an indication on the maturity, fairness and political inclination of their readership.

As for PR parties, only naive people like VJ, Killi and Suraj would believe that they are multi-racial. DSAI himself has insulted indians just about an year ago during the Ijok by-election by using the racial card. Yet, some Indians just don't see that they are being manipulated.

I have been observing DSAI for more than 20 years now, but only in 2008 he started to woo Indians. Before that he was a racist who looked down on other races.

well, MK may be biased or due to the nature of the readership, the results are slanted. However, I also know of many neutral MK readers - not pro-BN or pro-opposition people.

Sorry to say, from the few MIC people (relatives and friends) I met, majority thinks its time for change. Even neutrals think so. Of course saying things silently or behind the back is easier that actually doing it.

BTW, since my own poll also indicate that leadership should change, can I safely say the readers of this blogs are also anti-MIC/pro-opposition? OR is it because I am biased and is suspected of manipulating the poll? :-)

For the first time , i agree with Killer's argument on othr PR parties.

anyway, this Poll is certainly biased. We all know that.

Its like walking into a Pusat Serenti and asking how many of them have taken Drugs. :) Of course the result will be 100 % . WHat if i do the same survery but using PR's leaders with MIC members? Will Mkini or PR be able to digest the result? Mostly they will say we tampered the results ;) lol.

Well, good effort by MKini. maybe should do a nationwide survey :) Will try to work on it ;) Wait for it :)

50 years of independence with MIC being part of the ruling party and Samy "just" notices the Indians situation??????PLEASE LA.......how dumb do you seriously think we are, Samy??MAIKA Share???? Appaling state of tamil schools???? Indian gangsters???? Low income?????? Demolished temples??????It is been quite clear for a couple of years now.......If you're a well educated Malaysian Indian, stay away from MIC!!!! Help the indian community the best you can....ON YOUR OWN or with your friends and family!!This is not my comment but advice I received from friends of my dad. (Yup!! The older generation!!)The cronism in MIC is soooooo bad that anyone who really cares and want to make a difference in the Malaysian Indian community, won't get to the top of the ladder.....plain and simple!!! (Again...advice from Daddy and pals who were part of MIC for some time....in the 70s, I think)It would be nice if you could try, Poobalan.....I'll vote for you for sure!! hehehe!!But that is the sad truth, isn't it?
