Let's see what PR can do better for the workers since they are in Selangor. And let's see how Xavier conducts his job as the person in charge of estate workers.

To me this is the biggest problem facing poor Indians, the displacement from estates. That's why I am against paying a monthly salary for estate workers because staying in estates is highly detrimental for Indians. Indians must come out of estates and mix with other communities and be more competitive.

When Indians are displaced, they end up doing menial, low paying jobs. This is something that is expected since they have little qualification, especially the older generation. The only way up is by making sure the children get educated and help them out of their situation. In fact this is what many people did.

I think this is the area that MIC should have paid more attention and this is where much of the 20% Indian poor come from. But to be fair, unlike MCA, MIC is not being supported by the community. Indians rather waste their money on meaningless religious functions and rituals than donate it for education or welfare of the community.

That's why the Chinese progressed so fast.

Any way let's see if PR and HINDRAF can do better or keep singing the same old song that they don't the resources.
