Kayveas supports 2 indian ministers

Earlier, PM said that it is not possible yet to have 2 indian ministers, when he announced the cabinet line-up. But comes out in support of 2 Indian minister idea, saying that could have gained back some support from the community. I doubt it. The community will not be taken by free gifts and promises any more. They want to see results, not just appointments to important posts and creation of more committees and groups. Continue Reading »

Indians in Cabinet 2008

Well, PM pulled off some surprises - Rafidah, JJ, Azmi Khalid…all gone. Instead, we get Shahrir (MP Johor Bahru), Zaid Ibrahim (not selected as election candidate), and Amirsham (just retired as Maybank CEO). As for the Indian representatives, Dr S. is promoted to Human Resource Minister, while takes over as Deputy Minister in PM’s Department. Another man, got Deputy Federal Territory Minister post. Most surprisingly, a Dewan Negara Senator - A. Kohilan Pillay [full name: A. Kohilan Pillay a/l G.
