Of course if the MCA youth said that the actual reason is because the election is near, and the Chinese community has began to show their mettle, it wouldn’t sound nice in the papers! <\/p>\n

Wonder what excuse is the MIC Youth going to give. Wait a minute, you mean to say they never had a plan to meet the PM? Oh, right…they have to meet and strategise<\/a> first, do some charting, plot some figures and then decide to meet the PM.<\/p>\n

MCA Youth leaders, feeling pressured by the Chinese community’s concern over education and economic access, have decided to explain the issue to Datuk Seri Abdullah Badawi. MCA Youth chief Datuk Liow Tiong Lai will lead the delegation to meet the Prime Minister in Putrajaya tomorrow.<\/p>\n

Speaking to reporters after the MCA Youth’s central committee meeting here yesterday, Liow said that he appreciated that Abdullah agreed to meet his team despite the short notice.<\/p>\n

“This shows that the development of youths, regardless of race, is close to the Prime Minister’s heart,” he said.<\/span><\/p>\n

Liow said he would raise the Chinese youth’s need for an equal playing field when it comes to higher education, the economy and access to vocational training. “We hope that by bringing up these issues, the Prime Minister would be able to better understand the thinking of Chinese youth,” he said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
