S. Nijhar will be dropped. It is learnt that the 72-year-old MIC vice-president who has served as the Subang MP for two terms will be asked to make way for a younger candidate.<\/p>\n<p>At least three names are being mentioned to be Nijhar&#8217;s possible replacements.<\/p>\n<p>Top on the list is Federal Territory MIC chief <span style=\"color: #ff0000\">Datuk M. Saravanan<\/span>, 40, who is widely regarded as a sure bet for the seat. However, there are also talks that the former Senator might be fielded for the Tapah parliamentary seat.<\/p>\n<p>Another possible candidate being considered by the party leadership is businessman <span style=\"color: #0000ff\">Datuk Jaspal Singh<\/span>, 46, who is the MIC Malaysian Indian micro\/small business bureau secretary.<\/p>\n<p>Popular: Datuk Jaspal Singh is said to be a familiar face within the political circle.<br \/>\nJaspal who is also the Mutiara Damansara MIC branch chairman is said to be a familiar face in the political circle in the Subang constituency.<\/p>\n<p>The final name on the list is <span style=\"color: #0000ff\">Datuk Daljit Singh<\/span>, who is the Federal Territory MIC division committee member. Daljit, 48, has an MBA in Project Management and Human Resources. He is the honorary secretary of the Gurudwara Sahib in Sungai Besi and had also formed the Malaysian Punjabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Most likely should be a north indian candidate to replace Nijhar.
