Sounds long-winded right? It depends on what category of work is involved, and does not cover bringing new workers. And it needs further discussion before things can become clear. Now, MIC can use this opportunity to ask for allocation to train local people to be experts in the lacking areas. Perhaps can start new courses in local institutes or send for oversea training.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>Green light for Indian priests, musicians and sculptors<\/strong><br \/>\nApr 15, 08 2:27pm<\/p>\n<p>The government has decided to allow temple priests, musicians and sculptors from India to continue rendering their services in the country, according to Human Resources Minister Dr S Subramaniam.<\/p>\n<p>In a statement today, Subramaniam said he <strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000\">raised the issue during the last cabinet meeting on April 9<\/span><\/strong>. In view of this, he said <strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000\">t<\/span><span style=\"color: #ff0000\">he cabinet agreed to &#8220;permit\/renew&#8221; the visas for those in the country to continue with their services for specific categories<\/span><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Subramaniam, who is also MIC secretary-general, added that he will hold a meeting with Hindu and Sikh organisations to discuss the categories which had been agreed upon.
