It will keep its old headquarters in Taman Melewar in Gombak as a training centre.<\/p>\n<p>Party treasurer Dr Hatta Ramli said money to buy the property came from party funds as well as donations from members and Pas supporters. <\/p>\n<p>Nik Aziz explained at a press conference why Pas had chosen the predominantly non-Muslim Jalan Raja Laut to house its new headquarters.<\/p>\n<p>He said the location fitted into the party&#8217;s plans to reach out to non-Muslims. <\/p>\n<p>&quot;What&#8217;s so strange about the headquarters of an Islamic movement being in Jalan Raja Laut, a place where many residents are non-Muslim?<\/p>\n<p>&quot;In fact, I&#8217;ve been praying for a long time that one day, the Chinese can become Pas leaders, because when the Chinese embraced Islam, they really learn about the religion, whereas some Malays are Muslims because they were born into the religion,&quot; said the Kelantan Menteri Besar. <\/p>\n<p>Party president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang also spoke about Pas&#8217; desire to win over more non-Malay support.
