 <\/p>\n<p>Residents need only visit the website and click on the list for MPs, assemblymen or local councillors for their particular area to see a link to the respective representatives. &nbsp;  <\/p>\n<p>The state MCA has also issued a stern warning to its representatives that they would face serious action if they fail to respond to queries or issues raised by the people via e-mail. &nbsp;  <\/p>\n<p>Selangor MCA secretary Datuk Ch&#8217;ng Toh Eng said the list of all the representatives in the state had been available on the website since it was set up about six years ago.&nbsp;  <\/p>\n<table cellpadding=\"7\" width=\"144\" align=\"left\" border=\"0\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thestar.com.my\/archives\/2007\/5\/29\/central\/08toh.jpg\" border=\"0\"> <\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>\n<div>\u00c2\u00bbWe are trying to get more involvement from the people, especially the younger generation, to help us with our decisions and policies\u00c2\u00ab DATUK CH&#39;NG TOH ENG<\/div>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p>&#8220;But we only listed the names and positions of the representatives, and there have been many calls from the people to list their contacts as well,&#8221; he said during a press conference on Friday. &nbsp;  <\/p>\n<p>Ch&#8217;ng said the e-mail addresses listed on the website were those that the representatives used regularly and many were personal e-mail accounts that representatives checked daily.&nbsp;  <\/p>\n<p>He said with the wide usage of internet in the state and its capability to allow photographs and documents to be sent, the state MCA decided that the e-mail would be the best way for the people to contact their representatives.&nbsp;  <\/p>\n<p>He said the new facility to contact representatives was aimed at getting the younger generation to contact leaders and highlight problems.&nbsp;  <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We are trying to get more involvement from the people, especially the younger generation, to help us with our decisions and policies,&#8221; he said.&nbsp;  <\/p>\n<p>Ch&#8217;ng said the Selangor MCA had launched several internet polls on its website concerning various issues on which feedback was sought from the people but response had been slow. &nbsp;  <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It is probably because many are not aware that there are several interactive features on our website aimed at helping us serve the people better and also for them to raise their concerns,&#8221; he said, adding that he believed response would gradually pick up as more people became aware of the internet facilities that were available. &nbsp; <\/p>\n<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<\/p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>source &nbsp;
