I really don’t know what to make of the story which appeared in Malaysiakini below<\/a>. Want to laugh or want to cry??? Is it a coincidence or really due to the invitation in Facebook for public to have a cuppa of black coffee at the two outlets?<\/p>\n

Whatever it is, I don’t like Old Town Kopitiam especially the bad service in IOI Mall last time we went. Asyik communication breakdown\u00a0 with the foreign staff.<\/p>\n

For those who plan to visit Old Town White Coffee in Petaling Jaya tonight, be warned that two of its outlets have closed ostensibly for \u2018upgrading\u2019.<\/p>\n

\n\"oldA visit to the Old Town outlets in Jaya One in Section 13 (left<\/em>) and Three Two Square in Section 19 this afternoon indicated that both places have drawn their shutters.<\/p>\n

While it cannot be confirmed, the unexpected closure of the well-known \u2018kopitiam\u2019 in Petaling Jaya is believed to be related to an invitation in popular social networking site Facebook for Malaysians to participate in a \u20181BLACKAfterWorkCoffee\u2019 session at these two outlets.<\/p>\n

\"oldAccording to the Facebook invitation, a number of \u2018Black shirt\u2019 activists will be present at the event, including Bersih spokesperson Wong Chin Huat and Teratai state assemblyperson Jenice Lee.<\/p>\n

Wong was arrested<\/strong><\/a> last month for urging Malaysians to wear black as a mark of protest against the power grab by Barisan Nasional in Perak.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Lee was arrested three times – twice at candlelight vigils in Kuala Lumpur and once in Ipoh where she was nabbed outside the Perak state assembly building on May 7.<\/p>\n

Lee\u2019s last arrest, which was during the candlelight vigil outside her service centre in Ampang, resulted in her spending three nights in the police lock-up<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

Hundreds plan to have Kopi-O<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\"oldFacebook has two invitations for the event tonight, where 134 people have confirmed to have a cup of Kopi-O in the Old Town outlet at Jaya One.<\/p>\n

Another 138 are planning to go to Three Two Square (right<\/em>).<\/p>\n

It is unclear how many of the hundreds of Old Town White Coffee outlets nationwide have decided to call an early day aside from the two in Petaling Jaya.<\/p>\n
