A group of Indian youths winning the nationwide \u201cThe Wish List of Generation 2020\u201d competition will have the chance to directly express their views to the Prime Minister on June 12.<\/p>\n
Some 25,000 students and youths had taken part in the competition organised by education-based Sri Murugan Centre (SMC) on April 22 after it was launched by Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister\u2019s Department Datuk S.K. Devamany.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe main objective of the competition is to provide a platform for the youths from the Indian community to voice their needs and hopes to the Prime Minister,\u201d said Sri Murugan Centre founder and president Datuk M. Thambirajah.<\/p>\n
The competition is divided into three categories \u2013 the first for youths from age 20 to 25; the second for students aged between 15-19 years, and the third is for those aged 12 to 14 years.<\/p>\n
The entry forms have been distributed to the institutions of higher learning. Entry forms are also available on\u00a0www.smc.com.my<\/strong><\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n The entry forms contain questions that have to be answered by the students, including an essay titled \u201cWish list of Indian Community for the Prime Minister.\u201d The closing date in May 15.<\/p>\n \u201cBesides getting to meet the Prime Minister, attractive prizes include motorcycles and laptops,\u201d said Thambirajah.<\/p>\n
