As far as i know, yes. Some of the things require 2\/3 majority, while other have extra requirements like approval of the Rulers’ Council. So, I’m surprised \u00a0to read the statement below<\/a><\/strong> by, no less people who call themselves “Graduan” (graduates)! \u00a0Surely a sorry tale if these are the type of graduands we produce. And using 1Malaysia name pulak!<\/p>\n

The 1Malaysia Youth Graduands Club (Kelab Belia Graduan 1Malaysia) today lodged a police report over the distribution of brochures said to contain seditious words against the Federal Constitution.<\/p>\n

Its secretary-general Ezaruddin Abdul Rahman said the brochures titled \u201cPerlembagaanku\u201d (My Constitution), claimed that the people had the right to amend the Federal Constitution if they voted for members of parliament capable of doing so.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe were made to understand that the brochures were being distributed in several institutions of higher learning in the Klang Valley and some colleges in Kedah.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe also believe that the brochures were sponsored by an anti-government foreign non-governmental organisation,\u201d he told reporters after lodging the report at the Serdang police station.<\/p>\n

He called on the police and government to take immediate action on the matter as continuous distribution of the brochures could influence the minds of the younger generation.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Obviously the rakyat don’t amend the constitution directly! Its through the elected representatives la!<\/p>\n

I think MyConstitution is doing a great job. Their programmes target the youths and adults. I remember reading their tweets (oh yeah, I follow them, and strongly suggest you do too!) saying minister, MPs etc attending the programs. Their tweeter id is MyConsti<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

Do you remember Zul? Yeah the MP fellow. Read what he proposed last year here<\/a>. So, are you saying this guy, a lawyer, doesn’t know about amending the constitution?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

In fact,I read somewhere that our constitution have been amended more times than the US constitution. Not sure how true that is.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Finally, just search for “pindaan perlembagaan” in Google. <\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n
