He was the best father, says son
SEGAMAT: Slain Tenggaroh assemblyman Datuk S. Krishnasamy was the best father a child could have had, his youngest son Raven Kumar said.
“For now, my family members do not want to say anything. Suffice for me to say that he was the best father. I am deeply shocked and still not able to come to terms with what has happened,” he said. Raven, 25, said his mother Datin N. Sornavalli was in a state of shock and would not be able to talk to anyone for now.
“All of us are waiting for his body to arrive at our home in Bandar Putra, Segamat, except my eldest sister Rani, who is at the Sultanah Aminah Hospital in Johor Baru,” Raven told Bernama. The late Krishnasamy has three other children – Rani, 34; Rajkumar, 33; and Rathika, 29.
When met at the hospital, his brother-in-law V. Vatumale, 55, said Krishnasamy mixed well with anyone regardless of race. “The last time I saw him was in Segamat on Dec 16,” he added.
Krishnasamy’s brother S. Selvam, 49, rushed to the hospital from Singapore after hearing the news. “The last time we met was many months ago, we do not meet that regularly,” he said.
Krishnasamy will be laid to rest at the Hindu Cemetery in Tangkak, Johor today. A family member said the last rites will be held at his home at No. 5, Jalan Putra 1/40, Bandar Putra, Segamat.
