Work on Tamil school building starts
KLANG: Construction work on a new building for SJK (T) Tepi Sungai here has finally taken off.
Education Ministry Parliamentary Secretary Datin Paduka Komala Krishnamoorthy said the three-storey building would cost about RM1mil.
In May 2003, part of the 100-year-old school building collapsed and was demolished later after being declared unsafe.
The situation worsened when the school’s remaining classrooms were damaged in a fire at the end of last year.
All 158 pupils were forced to attend classes next door at the Klang Municipal Council’s (MPK) store, which had been turned into temporary classrooms.
Klang MIC division head Alex Tiagarasan, who is a councillor, said the new building would have 18 classrooms.
“The contactor has promised to complete the project as soon as possible although there was no time frame when it will be completed,” he said.
The school will also have a new computer lab, a canteen and a library.
When you are tagged as THIRD CLASS citizens by the ruling elite, you should not gripe about your children being housed in stables and storerooms. After all you are the dense Indians who with the blessings of Samy Velu voted for the BN.
The great Samy is not going to question the Education Minister for this sad state of affairs. He would not want to be dropped from the next cabinet.
Samy Velu would readily agree with his boss, Pak Lah, that Malaysia needs a lot of menial labour force and what better way than to get it through the dropouts of the Tamil school system.
Samy has always provided bits and crumbs thrown to the Indian community by the UMNO after he and his cronies in the MIC had satiated themselves.
DO NOT VOTE FOR BARISAN NATIONAL if you want the UMNO Malays to awaken to the plight of the Indians.
They will only realize their folly of marginalisng the Indians and others when they lose a lot of state and federal seats to the opposition in the coming GE.
