Well done! We have school in store rooms, in shoplots, in containers, and now most probably a new Guiness and Malaysia Records – school in a bungalow lot that is a pub a night. First activity of the day for students – pick up beer bottles! Wonder which Tamil paper wrote about this before?

Nanyang Siang Pau reports that students in Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan Tamil Azad clean the school compound by picking up beer bottles every morning before lessons begin.

The daily said the school at Bagan Jermal in Penang was a half-subsidised school and it was operating from a bungalow, which was rented to a pub at night.

Deputy Education Minister Dr Wee Ka Siong, who visited the school on Tuesday, said the location was not suitable for the school and that the ministry was looking for appropriate premises to relocate it.

“Of all the Tamil schools, 320 of them are in plantation estates,” he said, adding that he would discuss with minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein how to improve the facilities and study environment of these schools.

This has been highlighted so many times. In papers in events, even at the last taipusam there was banners begging for donation to save this school.

Till now nothing happens. the way MIC talks today shows the dont give a damn because they lost so they dont want to win in the future as well because its all not their problem because they people insulted them by voting them out.

we must bring this issue to a higher level
