1. who can check the tender details? is it not classified as govt secrets?
2. there are many roads with potholes. Is it very good that it is started with Ijok. Wonder which YB is next to kick the bucket. Then we can get better roads. Anniyan…where are you? 🙂

IJOK: The development undertaken here is not new, having being planned under the Ninth Malaysia Plan, said MIC president Datuk Seri S. Samy Vellu.
The tenders for the projects were given out some time back and were not new as claimed by the opposition, he said.
Speaking to newsmen after visiting several Indian and Chinese villages here yesterday, Samy Vellu said that if no development was carried out, the opposition would then claim that the Barisan Nasional government had not done anything.
He said that all the people, including those from the opposition, would benefit from the development projects carried out here.
“The resurfacing of the road until the Batang Berjuntai town is a federal project and is being implemented now. If it is not done, then there would be many potholes,” he said.
Samy Vellu said that if Parti Keadilan Rakyat was not impressed with the development, then it should use alternative roads.
To a question, he said Barisan was the only coalition which could take care of the Ijok people’s interests.
Samy Vellu said the people’s response to Barisan’s campaign had been positive, adding that the indications were good.
“I’ve already visited the Malay, Chinese and Indian areas and the people all pledged to support Barisan,” he said.
To allegations that government machinery was being used for campaigning, he said it was not true.
