This bad news means high possibility that one of them may perish in prison, another may lose his state seat if not sworn in 4 months’ time, 4 families will be fatherless for next 1 1/2 years, and more burning anger from the Indian community.

I guess Vwaishnnavi need not bother giving rose to the King anymore. Better save the money.

Can HINDRAF aka Makkal Sakthi keep on burning till December 2009?  The problem is that as long as Hindraf/Makkal Sakthi exists, the chances of 5 guys being detained is very high.

Wonder what the Advisory Board recommended. Did the King overrule the advise or follow it? One may never know the truth. The only people who opposed the release are the ones who put them there in the first place. Many political parties and some NGOs asked for their immediate release.  Qutie unfortunate for the community that the Advisory Board, Home Ministry, PM, and the King did not take that into consideration.

The community will be upset with this decision. Hopefully they can limit their anger and insults to the monarchy and PM.

King orders Hindraf 5 to complete their 2-year term

KUALA LUMPUR: The five Hindu Rights Action Force (Hindraf) leaders, detained under the Internal Security Act (ISA), will complete serving their two-year term as ordered by the king.
In a statement yesterday, lawyer Karpal Singh said this was contained in a letter dated April 16 addressed to one of the five, lawyer Ganabatirau Veeraman, by the Home Ministry’s Security and Public Order Division officer Mohamad Irza Dahari.

“The other detainees, have received similar letters,” he said.

They are lawyers Uthayakumar Ponnusamy, 46, Manoharan Malayalam, 46, and Kengadharan Ramasamy, 40, and ex-bank executive Vasantha Kumar Krishnan, 34.

The letter said the Prime Minister’s Advisory Board had forwarded its recommendation to the king who issued the order on March 26, following an appeal by the five.
They are detained for allegedly organising an illegal rally.

It is no surprise…had these idiots just kept quiet then the chance of them to be released would have been better.

Instead they created a Kollywood drama and claimed that they were mistreated and not provided medical care. This was a clear lie for a dead HINDRAF leader would be far more damaging to Pak Lah than alive.

Indians should only blame themselves. Had they voted MIC, then the party would have been in a much stronger position to demand for their release. Now we have a junior person in the cabinet and a much reduced representation in the Federal govt. Whatever Samy Vellu says will be considered as a senile talk from a politician without any support.

but don’t tell if they voted MIC, the party with bunch of monkeys and donkeys will help them to release. They will tell indians UMNO doing the correct things and it will be another “YES Dato Seri” job Samy Vellu
