Subscribe in a reader | Subscribe by Email While we were amused and maybe horrified over the directive issued by Kota Bahru Municipal Council, those guys clarified that its just a confusion over a circular and brochure on dress codes for Muslims women which was sent out to local businesses. The MPKB PR officer said its part of an “awareness campaign”.
The brochure is just a part of a campaign to explain to Muslim women the dress codes according to Islam which forbid the use of lipsticks and high-heel shoes.
However, if they (do not comply with this) dress code, MPKB has no right to take action
Ha ha ha….Awareness campaign ah ? It would be interesting to get hold of that circular to see the actual wording….
