What car should state assemblymen use?

Since March, we’ve seen Trengganu snub “buy Malaysian product” stance by getting Mercedes. This is soon to be followed by Penang and Perak who opt for Toyota Camry. Naturally, Kedah and Selangor may be actively considering similar steps.

For me, I rather see the all elected reps take public transport. Let them stand side by side with the Bangladeshi worker or the old Indian lady. Let them hear young school boys cracking jokes or see cigarette smelling pakcik smiling happily.

Try praying daily that there won’t be traffic jam, the bus will arrive on time or won’t break down along the way. Try worrying that no pervert try to act funny with female passengers or some mentally disturbed person don’t sit next to you.

So, between Proton or Camry, choose the bus.

One thing though, the Proton rep said that average car traveling distance is 20,000 to 30,000km. I drive at least 50km per day. And it took me 9 months to reach 20,000km. Any assemblyman worth his/her position should be doing at least 3 times more traveling than average people like me.

So, which car would it be?

I think this is ridiculous excuse to get their greedy hands on imported cars. I have many friends and relatives who use Perdanas and some of them (businessmen and salesmen) use the cars more heavily than these ADUNs. And none of them have much problems though the cars are several years old.

What I understand is that doing a proper maintenance and driving the car responsibly is important in keeping maintenance cost low.

Though i disagree about politicians taking public transport, I support that the PR leaders should set example of having a more modest mode of transport. So instead of having a more expensive cars, they should go for something cheaper like Proton Waja or MyVi.

BTW did you see Selangor MB talking about providing 4WD for their exco members so that they can drive it to kampung areas ?

What I can see is that PR within the short 8 mths has started to exihibit some of the excesses and corrupt practices of BN previously.

I think Myvi or Savvy, or even Honda City will do, no need to go to Camry level.

As for the 4WD idea, I read that too. I think its absurd, with Selangor being a relatively developed area (unlike places in Pahang, Kelantan, Terengganu etc). The need for off-terrain vehicle will be limited, and most of the time the vehicles will be driven on tarred roads.

Adun can use public transport no problem…..but people shouldnt complain they didnt reach on time to solve problems, didnt give immediate visiting attention or late for functions.

Malaysian want their adun to be like “harry potter” just a call and they expect adun to immediately “pop-up” infront of them.

If they reach late unpaid professional writers will write to star,NST,utusan berita harian and TV3 informing them how late adun rendered his service.

as it is, most VIP are always late. the public end up waiting for VIPs for functions to start.

with more reps taking public transport, hopefully it will improve drastically. its the same with education, elected reps must send their kids to normal schools, then only the education system have chance of improving.

Hello farmer

So if being on time is an issue, then get a cubchai lah, any where also can go, cheap and no need to get stuck in traffic jam.

I worry one day LGE and other PR leaders will demand helicopters and private jets so that they can be on time.

We vote audun who will care about rakyat (also will benefit themself)
but know we start to see the actual what this YB want ….. 3P (Power, Privelege & Position)

Why more much emphasize on vehicle ….. is it some important for them to sit in luxury car and move around with comfort condition …. go to hell this kind of YB
Drive proton or even kanchil and feel the rood condition in ur zone
then u know what to improve
If u sit in Camry and wnat to improve infrastucture , definately will ended with we have good road system.
Open the eye and start to think as rakyat needs and no u needs

If u can’t serve , then dopr out let put the person who really can sope with this condition.

We want YB to be part of us and not to be part of 3P teams.
BA wasted voting for ur people, U START TO SHOW UR COLOR .
We will show our color in next GE ……. WILL ENSURE ba WILL OUT OF …… no more second round of administrtaion for u all.

Let support me –> SAY NO TO BN & BA administration

We are suffering with existing economic turmoil and u all fighting for ur own luxury life.
Very difficult to find job , pay cut , loss job , inflation rate high …….. we are worry about our future …. no one want to improve the condition but debating on CAR type ….. CAMRY is better then Proton !

U know which car is suit to all AUDN (old mercedec benz … LUMI version than lazak)
Nak masuk hutan , kampung , bandar atau mana pun … no problem
nak masuk sungai pun boleh … sucide

Rakyat lihatlah gelagat 2 YB yg dipilih oleh kita utk mengembalikan keyakinan pada rakyat.
Lepas ini tahu apa nak buat ….. erase them out from kertas undi
Ingat sebelum terlambat … Lesson learnt
