This time, PAS Youth opposed the selection of performers for Sultan of Selangor Cup (annual football match between Selangor and Singapore) and threatened to organise a demonstration. The organisers chose Ella and Mas Idayu. I heard of Ella, but not the other singer, so don’t ask me. You can ask PAS since these guys said the ladies dress sexily and danced provocatively (like those middle east belly dancers?). I guess that depends on the eye of the beholder (PAS Youth may have some eyesight problems) since other Malaysians don’t seem to complain.
Their protest received condemnation from practically everyone. The singers gave them an earful.
Are they saying that if all artistes were banned from performing on stage, social illnesses would be eradicated?
The Sultan saw it fit to reply in anger. He said their action was “trivial”. My, is that an insult or what! All this would have made PAS to sweat.
The public meanwhile, laughed at this jokers.
Khalil, alarmed at the controversy, plans to arrange meeting between PAS youth and the palace.
And today’s breaking news says that PAS dropped its plan to protest. It would only send a letter to the organisers.
Please wake up PAS. You are in Selangor, not middle east.
