Interesting. I hope the outcome of the discussion will be put up for public viewing as a measure of accountability and transparency. It will be helpful when we go to vote in 5 years time.

Talk on 9MP’s effect on Indians

KUALA LUMPUR: A roundtable discussion on the mid term review of the Ninth Malaysia Plan will be held at 6pm on April 10 by MIC’s Yayasan Sosial Strategik (YSS).

Executive director Datuk Denison Jayasooria said 25 civil service organisations have been invited to give their views on the 9MP’s progress over the past two-and-half years. “We will also invite several guests from the Economic Planning Unit (EPU) in the Prime Minister’s Department and other relevant government agencies to hear the presentations made by the organisations,” he said, adding the findings would be submitted to the EPU.

He said the review provided an opportunity for Malaysian Indians to lobby for and advocate policies and programmes addressing the community’s grievances. Jayasooria said the round table talk would analyse 9MP policies and programmes, especially the delivery to Indians over the 2006-2008 period. “The specific recommendations targets programmes for the 2008-2010 period,” he said.

    Dear Poobalan

Please do check out on YSS’ website…all these discussions and results are there for all to see. Not just the recent ones but from several years ago. If you cared to read them you will realize that what Samy said was true and he wasn’t lying. It is just that people have selective way of obtaining information.

BTW these people had been busy working while those morons from HINDRAF/Makkal Samdhi had been wasting their time.
