First it was pillows, then flowers, and now we have postcards.

Not sure since when this coalition came into existence. 100,000 postcards to PM…hmmm..can easily ask the mailroom to remove the postcards and send for recycling, so I doubt this tactic will work. These guys better think of something else than can actually work.

Indian NGOs go on postcard campaign

KLANG: A coalition of Indian based non-governmental organisations has distributed 100,000 postcards to members of the public to be sent to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi asking for the release of all ISA detainees.

Coalition of Malaysian Indian Organisations secretary Gunaraj George said this was in support of Hindu Rights Action Force’s (Hindraf) efforts to seek freedom for its five leaders currently being detained under the Internal Security Act at the Kamunting detention centre. “We also want the Government to release all others who are being held under the ISA as well,” he said.

He added he was confident the Hindraf leaders would be released soon without serving the two-year detention period, given that their case had generated international interest.

I had said before and I say again, I am no supporter of HINDRAF or their “goonda” leaders. It is laughable to see the stupid and ill-advised antics of their supporters. Do you really think the govt is stupid enough to deprive Uthaya ? Imagine what would the international and national reaction if he dies in Hilton Kamunting ?

Secondly, why don’t these supporters focus on helping Indians and not waste their time on these antics like rose campaign, post cards, etc ?

I can give the HINDRAF/makkal Samathi folks an advice on how to get the 5 goodas released. Do nothing !

Yes, my opinion is that the govt will release these morons but they need to save their face also. As such they can’t be seen bending to pressure from PR and HiNDRAF. So stop pressuring them and they will release them on their own accord. But keep creating drama, you will only wasting everyone’s time while only delaying the release.

    • if they are morons, they wont be lawyers

Please check your facts before you make another idiotic statements. MIC had been submitting proposals on how to help the community for years. Check the YSS website.

It is the people like you who has contributed to the poor state of the community now. All hot air and no substance.

People had been working to improve the community affairs for decades and had not for them you would be still in an estate and “toreh getah”. While armchair critics like you do nothing but criticise the efforts without anything to help.
