Alex sacked from MIC

This was expected. After challenging Samy Vellu, criticising him openly and making police reports against him, Alex paid the price. The decision to expel him is supposedly due to not remitting collected funds, and also for acting detrimental to party image. It seems Alex did not attend the disciplinary meeting twice. First time was due sickness, and second time due to prior engagements. He informed the committee on both occasions.

Committee chairman Tan Sri Vadiveloo said both (another guy, Mookan, was sacked as well) have two weeks to appeal the expulsion to the party’s central working committee.

According to NST, several party members have questioned the haste in expelling the duo. “It was done so that Thiagarasan will not be at the party’s annual general meeting (AGM) this Saturday, where he is likely to ask many questions,” said one member. Another said the committee could have easily given him another date, as he was given only three days notice of the new date for the hearing.

yup it was expected . Similarly what DRM did to his challengers thru operasi lalang . These two old dinosours should be set aside from politics for good .

Anyway , Alex should be most welcomed either to MS or Pakatan (if still interested in politics) .

Let me tell you a story bro.

If Operasi Lallang was not carried out, Malaysia would have been plunged into a racial war, worse than May 13. If you don’t believe me, just google and find out what really had happened. There are some good independent account on what had happened in the net. Wiki is a good place to start.

My advise is not to accept what the politicians tell you but do your own research and make your own conclusion.

However I admit that some innocent people were also hauled up (esp some politicans). But the strange thing is these people were political opponents of none other than DSAI. It was said that DSAI was the one used the opportunity to get rid of his enemies.

But what I can say from my personal experience is that it was absolutely necessary to cool the national temperature as the relationship between races were at the breaking point with MCA and UMNO openly clashing.

Killi, let me challenge you to name at least 2 historians who said that ? Any links ? Don’t quote Dr Kua, he is a politician and not a historian.
