On the contrary, many were surprised, while the Indians I met were disgusted and angry to say the least. Surprisingly, even MIC boss Samy Vellu and Murugesan seem to be against it. Samy mentioned that “they can appeal”, perhaps hinting at what will be coming up next. Murugesan was more vocal. Even MCA did not mince their words.
