PUTRAJAYA: The late Indian Progressive Front (IPF) president Tan Sri M.G. Pandithan wrote a note to his wife that read “There is no death for me” in Tamil before falling unconscious at the Kuala Lumpur Hospital on Sunday. He died of cancer at 9am yesterday.

Pandithan’s wife to lead IPF

It was highlighted in the media that few weeks back, Pandithan called for all his senior party leaders and made them sign an agreement to let his wife to lead the party when he dies. Some signed due his death wish, while others objected. Anyway, PM announced today he was informed that Pandithan’s wife will be the new (acting?) IPF leader. For how long?

Leaders mourn Pandithan’s passing

Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi today paid tribute to the Indian Progressive Front (IPF) president Tan Sri M.G. Pandithan, saying he was steadfast in his resolve to uplift the life of the down-trodden.  The prime minister said Pandithan was committed in pursuing the cause, thus earning the respect and admiration of his followers.

“He had always shown deep concern on issues concerning low-income earners and poor Indians. “That was his struggle all along and he showed seriousness and dedication.
