Samy Vellu racist says Mahathir

Mahathir in his blog, labeled Samy Vellu as racist for the flimsiest of reasons: for asking HINDRAF ISA detainees to be released. He says Samy supports Hindraf.  He then goes on to spin a yarn that HINDRAF are bringing violent racial politics like in Sri Lanka to our country. If I remember correctly, the authorities have yet to provide even an iota of proof that the 5 detainees are remotely connected to LTTE of Sri Lanka. So, based on this hearsay, Mahathir makes his accusations. Further more, Samy Vellu had never (openly) declared that he supported HINDRAF. He said that he will help to get the ISA detainees released as he felt pity for the family, since he knew some of them, and due to their medical condition.

Seeing the death and destruction inflicted on Sri Lanka by the Tamil Tigers, they threaten to bring this kind of violent racial politics to Malaysia.

In sympathising with Hindraf, Samy exposes his deep racist sentiments.

Mahathir on his blog

I’ve seen HINDRAF being accused of representing on Hindu, but never were there anything mentioned about representing only Tamils. In fact, those who attend the rallies and functions come from all kinds of sub-groups. Even Malaysian Chinese and Malays have supported them. Not sure how Mahathir connected 2 and 2, getting 5. May old age is indeed catching up with him.

They must know that Hindraf represents Tamil racists who still look to their old masters, the British, to protect them. They don’t believe in Malaysian institutions.

And they speak not just of Indians but of Tamils as a separate race. They and their apologists are racist to the core.

As for the other part of the accusation, Mahathir said that Samy Vellu was the stumbling block for other Indian parties to join BN. This is an open secret, and bearing in mind that BN is supposed to work on consensus, that means all the coalition parties are equally guilty for tolerating MIC. They could have easily kicked out MIC and accepted other parties like IPF into BN. Most probably MIC leaders will jump ship and joined IPF. Later MIC will come and join back BN as well.

Did MIC lose because of Samy Vellu as claimed by Mahathir? Of course! It is one of the major factors, but not the ONLY factor.

Mahathir said he will reveal the statements Samy Vellu said while Mahathir was the PM. Well, bring them on. It will only help to remove Samy Vellu from MIC faster.

My opinion is that, these guys were in cohorts while in power. When the blame game starts, all the juicy secrets will come out. For more than 2 decades, we have seen the leadership of Mahathir and Samy running the country. These people are politicians, who will lie through the skin of their teeth to achieve the ambition and safeguard their position. When in power, they did not dare to reveal the shortcoming or criminal activities of each other, but now when retired or out of position, the can freely blame everyone else. What a lowlife!

BTW, what would he say about all those UMNO people? ultra-racists?

mahathir oh mahathir ….. by nature he cannot keep his mouth disciplined .
We have seen how he invited western investors and at the same time ‘belasah’ them via mouth .
He was the one behind the screen using dirty tactics and poison pen letters which led Tunku and Hussien Onn leaving umno with tears .
I bump into a history prof whom said there’s reasonable doubts to link him to the (dark) historic May incident .
Trust me only Anwar can stop this evil mastermind .
Anyway , it seems Makkal Sakthi and MIC now have a common enemy !

      “…siapa siapa…..MATI tiada darah!!!”, TENGKU…

This was said[cursed] by our beloved during the infamous May Riots. One famous[notorious] inner circle politician has already died of rezak-leukimea. You should know that the protege of that time is currently suffering from brain degeneration[Maybe 10% guilt?].

Is Mahatir BAPA MALAYSIA? Indeed, the poison pen has de-mortalised many a politician and hidden the true history of “malaysia”, or are the memories of older malaysians that bad???

Are the ”öld” national newspapers gagged or afraid, so much…as only to dedicate volumes the Minister of Inter Affairs..Tun Ismail?[he’s a good man though] in the days before the 50th Annivesary celebration? HOCUS FOCUS???

Only Anwar can stop this evil mastermind ? Anwar is the biggest evil at all.

Mahatir is no enemy of MIC, he is just attacking SV because SV is siding with Badawi.

Mahatir should just zip up and retire, otherwise he risks destroying his legacy by allowing people to open up the closet and bring out the skeletons…

    • VJ says:

if DrM were to attack Badawi’s supporters he wil be doing the same to DrKoh,OngKT and many more . Why only Samy? Is SV a deputy PM ??
Your points are always irrelavant lar bro….

Both DrM and SV are locking horns over the issue of whose the cause of falling to address the grouses of Indian community . Both refuse to take blame and blaming each other to escape . Read thru some articles in his blog , it will spell the anger of DrM towards Indians whom are partly blaming him .

Maybe not Anwar can stop DrM ……it’s only one man ……it’s the KILLER whom can stop ….. KungFu Killer …… 🙂

killer oh killer, u seem to be arguing abt anything and everything. what r u up to la bro?

    Dear VJ

Perhaps you should look at the issue deeper and objectively to seek Mahatir’s motivation in attacking SV. He was attacking Badawi and telling ppl that he (Badawi) must be punished in the GE. Mahatir was upset that some of the senior ministers issued statements supporting Badawi. He saw SV under attack by the Indian community so he pounced on his by pouring fuel over fire.

I don’t know if SV said anything bad about Mahatir or it was made by the newspapers. Perhaps he did. But if you listened to him talk ( i was impressed by the radio ad for the 50th Merdeka celebration), you know he respected Mahatir very highly.

I don’t think Mahatir let down Indians, if SV said so then he is wrong. But certainly during Anwar’s tenure as Education Minister, we suffered due to many policies he introduced. May be some of the younger guys here don’t know about this but he was the one who did the severe damage to vernacular education. Just ask some of the older teachers and educators what was it during Anwar’s time.

      i agree with u.

it’s not a matter of young or old but the matter of rational thinking . Dr.M is one of the culprit (other than razak) whom systhematically marginalized non-malays.
Perhaps rather than just local newspapers you guys need more source to understand . Dun blindly accept what you see and hear from mass media. Many historic evidence have been hidden from us .
I agree what AI has done . But , per recent information (after his jail term) many of us feel he should be given a chance to prove himself . Btw , how could just an Edu ministery could marginalize a society all alone ? How about economic oppurtunity ? Is it under Edu ?? For god sake let’s wake once after 50yrs of hibernation !
DrM called us ‘pendatang’ in his blog . And you guys worshipping him ?? Good !

I completely disagree with you. That even the Chinese hold Dr M in such high esteem even today speaks about his non-racial approach. I don’t quite agree with his policies (when i was in the Uni I was initially anti-Mahatir). But there is no other Malaysian dead or alive has done more for the country. Though I am sad at his attitude recently (behaving negatively and un-stateman like) but I have deep respect for him. Though I disagreed with him on how he treated Anwar, but his strength of personality and sheer willpower during the economic crisis won me over. I cannot think of a better achievement of a leader anywhere in the world than Dr M during that time.

In the contract to what you have said, you should by now realise that I know lot more than what is reported in the media. In fact I would advise you not to believe everything you read in the blogs and in the internet. I know you are talking about the May 13 incident too and I can tell you that the book by Dr Kua is a bunch of lies and half-truths.

As for the margainalisation of non-bumis, how can you accuse so when the we are still better of economically than the bumis ?

As for Anwar, we can judge him based on his performance as a govt minister. Remember he was never cleared of the sodomy charges, but let go due to technical matter. Even the judge doubted his innocence. Perhaps you are unaware but accusations against DSAI went back many years ago. Read what Tun Hanif Omar had said. He had reported DSAI’s activities to Dr M even during the early days.

As for the Edu Ministry, he is the one who brought in Bahasa Melayu (instead of Bahasa Malaysia) and Bahasa Baku. During his time he placed many restrictions on the expansion of Tamil and Chinese education. Just google and look for articles on him by nuetral blogs like Aliran and others from that era.

Also remember that DSAI threatened to stop bells ringing in Hindu temples during the Kg Rawa incident. And more recently (April 2007) he refused to let Indian rep to stand for PKR and instead selected a Malay to stand against an Indian from BN in the Ijok by-election. Don’t you remember how he used race and religious slurs against the Indian (Partiban ) during the campaign ?

And go back a bit further, in the Lunas by election. I remember it well as it was the worse by election in my memory. The way PAS and Anwar used race and religion against the BN candidate (Indian) was shameful. In fact the tension was so strong that even the police was afraid to step in. I was worried that things might get out of hand and there will be a massacre of Indians there. It was that bad….

So VJ, it only shows how gullible Indians (like yourself) are and how easily they can be deceived by political opportunists like Anwar. This also shows how short memory they have. You claim that we should not be fooled by the mainstream media. But these incidents have been reported widely and how come you could have missed them ?

I would respect you and your views if you support DAP, but supporting Anwar in my eyes is an act of betryal to the community (sorry for my strong words).

Killer , you have the right to agree to disagree .
    – chinese hold high esteem over DrM ??? well probably it’s changing . You may browse thru the comments by chinese in DrM’s blog itself . They have much anger than esteem . Randomly chinese blogs are seem to spill frustration on him . In northen region, i’m seeing more chinese adopting ‘new dawn’ concept nowadays .
    – history is always cab be debated . One scholar will say A and another will say B . To me , i believe i have a right source . Anyway the truth will never will be revealed . Those crooks are not ‘mahathama’ to admit .
    – you are blaming the sodomy case. Fine . How about blowing a woman with explosive ? How about making son-in-law and son multi rich via nepotism . Wrong is wrong regardless it’s done by the idol you love or not . “Netrikkan thirappinum kutram kutrame” – this is my concept . DSAI has taken the punishment and not the others so i’m bit soft to him than others.
    – The rule is simple : no matter who rule the minority will still have to struggle to strive . So it’s matter of common sence what’s the degree of struggle prior chosing a political party .
    – i never bothered your ‘strong words’ . Cause if someone could condemn community heros like Hindraf than wht else could be expected from him/her. To me condemnation of Hindraf is the pure communal betrayal .
    – As far as i know (meeting various people : old/young;educated/not;professional;not…..etc) majority are in support for Hindraf . You guys can say the support vanishing cos not many on street demos . Similarly for the “New Dawn” . I even have bunch of chinese supporting Hindraf . Ppl may argue on demos but they accept the message and motive .
    – I will campaign for my choice and you do for yours . Who is right/wrong ?? Let the GE13 to decide .
