Disqualified for short cut, not shorts

PETALING JAYA: The Education Ministry has clarified that students from a vision school in Kampung Jawa, Klang, were disqualified for taking a short cut during a cross-country race and not for wearing shorts.

Deputy director-general (schools) Datuk Noor Rezan Bapoo Hashim said students had to pass through three checkpoints and collect a band at each point but those who reached the finishing line first only had one band.

“It had nothing to do with the students wearing shorts,” she said.

On Tuesday, it was reported that students who won a cross-country race did not receive their prizes because they were wearing shorts but those who reached the tape after them were given the prizes, prompting parents to lodge a police report against the school administration.

The spin doctors from the Ministry of Education are at it again. Double speak aka George Orwell’s 1984 official language is the official dictum of the various ministries of the Malaysian Government. Whether official comments orginate from the Ministry of Education, Health or the Internal Security Ministry, you can predict correctly what they are. Lots of verbiage sans the truth.

To them truth has become fiction. Fiction and living in DENIAL has become the way of life. Committees or tribunals set up to investigate and find out the truth are just committess to hoodwink the people who the ruling elite think are incapable logical thinking. You can show irrefutable proof by providing facts and figures but they will only believe in their own fabricated statastics.

Kudos to the spin doctors. They seem to apply their intelligence to outdo the performace of the Iraqi Minister of Information during the invasion of Iraq.

In a globalize world, think before you speak. The world is watching. You can only control the local media, NOT the internet or the various international media.
