At a press conference in Bukit Aman yesterday, Ismail was asked if police could use the blood sample take in the 1998 case.
The deputy police chief shrugged off the suggestion, saying that they were looking at obtaining a court order instead to compel Anwar to give his blood sample for DNA tests. “We are studying various laws,” he said, without elaborating.
We either:
(i) have very outdated laws that forbids such reuse
(ii) lost/used/contaminated the earlier blood sample
(iii) have a blood sample that cannot last 10 years (but the DNA record should)
(iv) have no sample being actually collected 10 years ago
(v) have Anwar’s twin or a clone running around the last time (but DNA should be same)
(vi) know that DNA can change in space of 10 years (can ah ???)
(vii) have a uncomfortable Deputy IGP
(viii) think that fresh blood yields fresh DNA 🙂

You are wrong. may be you are reading too much of the blogs belonging to PRK supporters.
The reason is simple. Anwar is already claiming that he won’t give sample as he is sure it will be tampered. As such, using the old one will be also subjected to the same accusation.
So that’s why PDRM is requesting new sample. They are also going to use foreign experts and even a special prosecutor for this case to ensure transparency as thw world is watching.
Any way, let me tell you this. Anwar will be toast as the govt will no go this length without strong evidence. And my sources in PDRM say the same thing- Anwar did sodomise Saiful.
Also on the reason to arrest Anwar 1 hour before was due to Anwar’s plan to dramatise the whole arrest by getting his people to prevent police and make the police use force. He also planned to get the international media to film it so to gain symphathy. Well, PDRM is no fool. And BTW, they do have strong sources within PKR.

Then why are your so called “sources” or “the oracle” in PDRM didn’t bring forward the evidence and arrest AI if it is confirmed.

Are you nuts ? Do you know how the legal and criminal justice process works ? If you have no clue, please don’t try to be a smart alect and challenge those we do. You will only get smacked…
Anwar Ibrahim is not held by police for sodomy. Since Saiful made a police report alleging sodomy, police is recording the statements of witness to establish if there is any truth to the allegation. Obviously the police won’t be calling DSAI to give statement if the earlier witnesses (more than 15 i think) did not provide compelling reasons.
DSAI was called up by the police to give his statement. But DSAI jumped the gun and refused. Tha’t why Pdrm had to obtain a court warrant to arrest this so called future PM. How many times you have seen people refused to give their statements to the police ? Why is Anwar is refusing to give his statement when this would only help him if he is innocent. By evading police, suspicions will only increase.
The Police is yet to decide if there is a case against him since this is still in the investigation stage.
However as I said, the evidence is strong and Anwar is likely to be charged. Prepared to eat your word. If you have dreams of Anwar becoming the PM, then keep dreaming…

Police is still investigating and YET to charge Anwar. That’s the official line.
But what I am sharing is my opinion and some unofficial information. My sources say that DSAI did sodomise Saiful. And based on my knowledge of police procedure it does look like they have enough proof.

I am not the IGP or AG to post official information here. Whatever I said about DSAI/Saiful has to be either obtained through my sources or my personal opinion.
Official information is what is released by the PDRM/AG through press conferences.
Is that so hard to understand ?
