For his immense contribution to Malacca and our country, bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan will be getting his Datukship from Yang Dipertua Negeri of Malacca. Not sure if SRK knows what’s a Datukship it, but i’m sure he’ll appreciate it.

What contribution you ask? Beats me. I guess the state head will fill us in on that.

Bollywood idol Shah Rukh Khan is a Datuk. The heartthrob will be receiving his Datukship from the Malacca Yang Dipertua Negeri, Tun Mohd Khalil Yaakob in conjunction with his birthday tomorrow.

Listed as an artiste from Dreamz Unlimited in the list of recipients, Shah Rukh will be receiving the Darjah Mulia Seri Melaka (DMSM). He is among 77 recipients of the title.

Shah Rukh, 43, is a highly acclaimed Indian actor who works in Bollywood films, as well as film producer and television host.

First of all don’t be sour grapes.Just, like “Sir” title given by the queen of england, datukship is given to recipents not just within malaysia, but also to other part’s of the world. It is normal practice in most of the country’s.Sha ruk khan,is a top grossing superstar, who along with amitha baccan had been hailed as one of the Top actors, within bollywood (based on number of boxoffice hits).Bollywood is worth atleast 1.5 billion american dollars per annum,He is one of the icons of hindi flim world.we indians…south indians to be precise, keep on complaining for irrelvant things…in time we will become more insignificant..Those,who can’t live with society, will become more and more isolated.who know’s one fine day, they will give rajnikanth datukship too…maybe in 20 years time…they will even give poobalan datukship…father of indian bloggers…hehehe

Guess what, not only the south indians are complaining. Other malaysians are unhappy too. And, the Datukship is given to people who made our country proud – regardless of their citizenship. The point is that we think SRK have not done much to deserve that recognition. I think Alan Todt got one coz he allowed F1 to run in Malaysia. Then we have few foreign CEOs of MNC who got Datukship for running their business in Malaysia. All this brings short-term revenue and employment into the country.
As for movies – I think people already forgot One 2 Ka 4, because Shah had acted in many other movies after that.
