The Penang police took the unusual step of issuing warning that ISA may be used against those who are involved in rally tomorrow. It is widely known that there will be a rally tomorrow during the celebration of Prophet Muhammad’s birthday. This rally will be hijacked to protest against the new government. No prizes for guessing who’s behind it. The impact of such rally can be felt by one of Penang’s icons – the Nasi Kandar. Sivarasa vowed to bring up the issue of  HINDRAF ISA detainees. The parliment is going to be very interesting to follow. I hope TV will show it live 🙂

Another interesting he mentioned was that MP “job” is “part-time” He still has his law firm to run!

Being an MP is not a full-time position, it’s a part-time thing. It’s an honorary position. It is not (an) executive (position). So I have to carry on (with my legal career). » Read more: Interesting Interview with Subang MP Sivarasa

The community would not be forgetting the HINDRAF ISA detainees, and constantly remind the government to release them. The longer they are detained, the more resentment against the government. So far, the MIC camp has been silent on this. One way for them to butter the Indian community is to join in and ask for the release of the detainees. Once the parliment is convened, or whenever MIC has the chance to meet the PM, it should put forth the request. MHS has done it, now MIBA also asking for release. » Read more: MIBA calls for HINDRAF 5 release
