Had the chance to visit Sungai Palas Tea Plantation, which belongs to BOH. The trip was at late afternoon, so no sunrise/sunset shots. The turn-off to Sungai Palas estate was about 2 minutes from Equatorial Hotel (heading towards Simpang Pulai). From the turn-off, its a 2km horror trip of single lane road. Its still seems to be a miracle how we could actually end up at the plantation. The curves were sharp and narrow, one wrong turn of the wheel, and its free fall into the tea plantation down below.

Managed to get on Internet today. Took the picture of sunrise (well, technically, it was already risen at 7.30am). And later in the afternoon, there was a complete rainbow for about 15 minutes. The weather is quite erratic over here. It rains at times in the afternoon or evenings, and even at night. Daytimes are quite hot when it is not raining.

Having decided not to go to MINES for the second day of Amma’s visit to Malaysia, I went again since Then wanted to give it another try. I was hoping the this time we will get an earlier slot to meet her. This time I reached MINES at 6.15pm and surprisingly found that there were much less crowd in the ground floor shoplots. There were no buses as well in the parking areas.  Managed to enter the hall early. The crowd was about 1000 people only. While waiting for Amma to arrive, some video clip on Amma were screened. Quite interesting. I enjoyed the scene were she danced with the kids. » Read more: Waiting for Amma again

Since Then was excited to meet Amma (Matha Amritanandamayi), we decided to head to Mines Exhibition Centre yesterday. Amma will be there today as well. I went there earlier, reaching the venue at 5.30pm. Along the way, many buntings could be found, leading the way to the venue. I saw nearly 10 buses at the entrance to Mines ECC. » Read more: Waiting for Amma
