KUALA LUMPUR,MON:

THE Internal Security Ministry will not be releasing the five leaders detained under the Internal Security Act despite MIC President Datuk Seri S.’s request that they be freed.
Internal Security Minister Datuk Seri Syed Hamid Albar said is entitled to voice MIC’s concerns, adding that the action taken against the five was based on the legal system. He told reporters this after visiting the Police Headquarters at Bukit Aman today.

Yesterday said he would meet Syed Hamid Albar and Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdulah Ahmad Badawi to request that the leaders be released.

No surprises when I read that the Indian assemblyman is given Human Resource as well as health and environment. This makes him the 4 assemblyman to have HR as a portfolio, after Negeri Sembilan, Johor and Penang. Malacca, Kedah, and Selangor EXCO don’t handle HR.

MIUP Penang to close shop

The party got off to a wrong start by having its launch on rally day. Then the leader picked a fight with PKR. Now the Penang members are unhappy. What we (as man-in-the-street) can understand is that this is a party for the leaders with personal ambition.
