As the Indian community wait with high expectation, Lim Guan Eng was sworned in as Penang CM.

Air Putih state assemblyperson and DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng was just sworn as Penang’s fourth chief minister.
The ceremony took place at the governor’s residence Seri Mutiara.
This is the first time a DAP-led government will rule the state, which was held by Gerakan since 1969.

Also present in the ceremony were Lim’s father Kit Siang – a party stalwart – and his wife Betty Chew, herself a state assemblywoman for Kota Laksamana in Malacca.
Outgoing CM and Gerakan acting president Dr Koh Tsu Koon was also present. His party was routed in the general election by a rampant DAP-led opposition.

Meanwhile, PKR is eyeing the Deputy CM post as expressed by NST:

PRAI: State PKR liaison committee secretary Abdul Malik Abdul Kassim is tipped to be deputy chief minister following the conclusion of talks with the DAP.  A source said the agreement was reached at a meeting of high-ranking officials from both parties yesterday.
Abdul Malik defeated Barisan Nasional candidate Norman Zahalan with a 3,169 majority to clinch the Batu Maung state seat.
Meanwhile, Pas has announced that it is willing to play a role in the new state government administration.

Sources said DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng, who will be sworn in as chief minister today, will appoint Abdul Malik as his deputy.

The argument given is that PKR won the second highest number of seats and that the deputy CM post should go to Malay candidate so that can appease the Malay voters (previous DCM was held by UMNO).

Guan Eng earlier said that the EXCO will be announced in a week’s time

The Penang Indian community is hoping that Prof Ramasamy and/or the other candidates will be given an equal chance to participate. Word is going around on nominating Prof Ramasamy as 2nd Deputy CM. At the least, they are expecting strong portfolios to be given to them.
