i am a foundation student in unirazak. i wanted to continue my degree here but couldn’t because family problem.i have experiences work at a Tamil primary school for two years. now i want to continue work and study part time. what should i do now..?

    • poobalan says:

      hi kalai vani,

i hope you are still in the foundation program or have completed it. are you able to secure PTPTN loan if continue degree?

if you want further study and work at the same time, then its possible, but don’t expect high paying job with foundation results.

since you have worked in a school before, can you talk to the school again to secure a job?

      hi nono,

you should go to the nearest Pejabat Pendidikan Daerah or the school you are interested in to inquire. they will give the details.

Hi, i am fresh graduates from upm, degree in biz admin majoring in finance. I want to do mba part time. Thus, i really think that i can do teaching which is flexible too. I also did home tuition for 2 years. So, what is the procedure for application towards teacher jobs? Hope for ur quick reply.tq

    • poobalan says:

      mohan:

teaching is flexible??? what if you get posted to interior sarawak? 🙂

anyway, to apply teaching job for bachelor degree holders, you have to apply via for KPLI (kursus perguruan lepasan ijazah). its application open dates depend on MOE. something once a year, sometimes twice a year, sometimes don’t have at all. AND they will only advertise for specifics teaching field, depending on what teachers they require. so, you may end up teaching living skills, or culinary arts, or music, or bahasa Iban etc.

    hi,i’am now a A-levels student.and i want to apply for the teacher training.what should i need to do first?thanks

    • poobalan says:

i’m not sure if a-levels graduates are accepted. you should check with MOE. if not accepted, then you should continue with a degree and later apply to do diploma in education under MOE.

    hai..
I am interest to be teacher in tamil school.I am get good result in spm.I dont know how to apply that. So,i need ur help. Can u help me..

    • poobalan says:

hi, you should apply via KPLSPM results after you got your SPM, the application is closed alread. your next option is to do form 6 and apply for UPSI, or try be temporary teacher in tamil school. but now, the chance to temp teacher is very very low.

    Dear Poobalan,
Hi, I’m a Diploma in Pharmacy Holder from Mahsa College, would like to know if I am eligible to apply for a teacher;s training? If Yes, where n how to apply?

    Thank you

    • poobalan says:

i don’t think so. you need to apply either after SPM or after completing degree. another option is to be a temporary teacher, but govt is not going to continue the temporary teacher positions for long.

why would you apply for teacher when you already completed pharmacy diploma?

  7. Renuka says:

hi.. im renuka here.. im just completed bachelor of education, majoring in maths at UNIRAZAK. im looking for teacher vacancy… can let me know wher and how to apply? i oso want to know is that possible to get in government school?? i only have experiences in 3 months practicum and oso at kumon tuition centre..

    thank you

    • poobalan says:

its seems like there’s oversupply of teachers now. you can apply via SPP – suruhanjaya perkhidmatan perguruan, but i’ll say the chances are very low. you can apply to private schools as well. you can consider doing master and teach in IPTS for foundation/a-levels/diploma/degree programs later.

  8. sarmila says:

hi i am sarmila here. when is the next intake for teaching course. i’m degree holder.

    • poobalan says:

for degree holder, it depends on MOE needs. usually its twice a year, but lately only once a year. have to wait for MOE to announce the dates. on some years, they won’t even open because no requirements.

  9. Dass says:

    Dear Mr.Poobalan,

My wife is 32yrs old in 2012, she possessed a UK degree and working in private sector for the last 12 years, curently she is keen in looking for a more secure job. She has credit in English and Maths and distintion in science, however she only has pass in BM. I would like to know if there still qualify to apply for teaching. Thanks

    • poobalan says:

      Hi,

for government jobs, minimum credit in BM is needed. She can apply for SPM BM paper and resit it. anyway, we are having too many teachers, so chances are slim to get the KPLI program.

    dear sir,
i’m a 19th.I’m interesting to study teacher course for primary school. So can i get the way for the course please?
    Thank you

    • poobalan says:

you have to check from time to time if the application is open. so far no news and most likely won’t be open any time soon. better to look for other options.

  13. Santhana says:

Im currently doing my foundation in management programs under UNITAR(Unirazak). and will pursue to Bachelor of Education major English. Can I be a primary / secondary school teacher with that qualification. (government school) ?

    • poobalan says:

the chances are low because we are having glut of teachers. even IPTA, MOE-sponsored students are not guaranteed place in govt schools. you can give it a try, but i think chance in private sector is more probable.
