Syed Hamid said the decision to allow the newspaper to continue publishing was based on looking after the interests of the paper’s employees.

“They are supporting so many people and… they assure that they will abide by the guidelines and they will contribute to our nation building efforts,” Syed Hamid said.  “I think their request is reasonable and I renewed it (the permit) yesterday,” he told reporters

Hahahahahahahahahaha……What a joke! 102 people’s job can make things change so fast? What about national unity, racial harmony and all those magic words always bandied about? 25 million people has less value than 102 families?

Q: What is this la?

A: This is politics!

Perhaps more important is sworn statement in front of lawyers or officials of the particular religion by the immediate family members (spouse and parents). » Read more: MIC youth wants release certificate for converts

But now when we go down (to the ground), the true sentiment is that they feel that these people were punished for asking for their rights.  “And because this was reflected in the general election result, they feel that the government is not adhering to their sentiments

This is the third time they are doing so. Samy have tried, Murugesan have tried, now is Vigneswaran is trying. Anyway, the interesting point here is that people on the “ground” support these five and their struggle, if I read Vigneswaran’s statement correctly. » Read more: MIC Youth asks for Hindraf ISA detainee review

Well, what an about turn! Let me guess, the Ministry statement will say that “the publisher has agreed to follow guidelines more closely. Further non-compliance will cause the permit to be not renewed.” Hmm…looks like no conditions imposed. » Read more: Makkal Osai permit finally renewed
