So far, no a single person came out in support of ban against Makkal Osai. On the contrary, many were surprised, while the Indians I met were disgusted and angry to say the least. Surprisingly, even MIC boss Samy Vellu and Murugesan seem to be against it. Samy mentioned that “they can appeal”, perhaps hinting at what will be coming up next. Murugesan was more vocal. Even MCA did not mince their words. Again, this makes me wonder what were those MIC and MCA ministers were doing when this was discussed in the cabinet? Or was the ban not brought up at all? » Read more: No one supports Makkal Osai ban

I don’t think the emotional factor will sway the Home Minister. The situation is quite clear. Under no circumstances should the detainees be released.  Better still if they die due to some illness. I think that is the strategy now. If not, when some coalition partners ask for release and other partners do not object, why the Home Ministry not doing anything except saying still waiting for police feedback? As long as no order from the boss, nothing moves.  Vishaleny Ihave to wait longer. » Read more: ISA detainee Vasantha’s daughter sick

Can the paper continue publishing? No right? What can a newspaper company do if it doesn’t have permit to publish? » Read more: Not banned, just not renewed!

Hmmm…structure only newer, but temple was there longer than the structure. And this case reinforces the need to get the temple committee registered. The point of contention is the tree itself. Temple structure can be relocated, but the committee wants the tree to remain. Can the tree be replanted? Or can the road aligned be tweaked a bit? » Read more: temple loses case to stop relocation

The minister is for all Malaysians, and in this contact, if he wanted to coordinate vernacular schools issues, then he should not just focus on Chinese schools as well. Even though Dong Jiao Zong were the ones who pushed for the initiative, the minister could have thought a bit further and extended this to Tamil schools as well. Don’t think  he should wait for those representing Tamil schools to make an appeal to consider them. Kind of elementary step, isn’t it? so how can Tamil schools were left out? » Read more: Don’t ignore Tamil schools says Santiago
