INDIAN women are still in the dark about the political situation in the country, Puteri MIC chief Usha Nandhini was reported saying in Tamil Nesan.
She said Indian women aged between 18 and 35 did not seem to be interested in politics.
Speaking at the Negri Sembilan Puteri MIC meeting last week, she said Puteri MIC had grown from a small outfit into one with 10,000 members within three years.
She said Puteri MIC was now functioning in all the constituencies, with emphasis in ensuring that the culture and traditions of the community were not forgotten.
Earlier, Negri state MIC chairman Datuk T. Rajagopalu said young Indian women had benefited greatly by joining Puteri MIC.
