I guess the speaker said this after the two Indian blokes delivered their motion of thanks in their “Indianised” Malay.

Its a serious problem that even affected MIC and MCA candidates before this.

Wonder how they want to impressĀ  and get message across during speech at functions.

A few Negri Sembilan state assemblymen from the DAP have been ticked off by speaker Datuk Abdul Razak Mansor for failing to speak proper Malay, causing difficulties in understanding the “message” they wanted to relate, reports Berita Harian.

Abdul Razak asked elected representatives to quickly improve their weaknesses so that proceedings could continue smoothly and everyone understood what was being said. “I ask that the language used in the assembly be improved because I see there are some who are not very fluent in the Malay language,” he said after the matter was highlighted by Datuk Mohd Kamil Abd Aziz (BN-Gemencheh).

Abdul Razak said this after state assemblymen from Rahang and Senawang, K. Arumugam and P Gunasekaran, gave their motion of thanks after Yang Di Pertuan Besar Tuanku Ja’afar Tuanku Abdul Rahman opened the session of the state assembly.
