Earlier, MIC Youth advisor said the memorandum was to ask for resolution in parliament, while this one says to intervene on humanitarian grounds. Rais Yatim said the Government would send a note to the Sri Lankan government next week to express concerns over the war with the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam and hoped to extend humanitarian relief to the war victims in response to the call of the Tamil community here.
