Country’s foremost eye surgeon dies at 85

KUALA LUMPUR: One of the country’s foremost opthamologists, Datuk Dr Keshmahinder Singh, died yesterday of old age. He was 85.
He was instrumental in initiating the setting up of the Tun Hussein Onn National Eye Hospital in 1986 and had contributed towards the development of eye care in the country.
His nephew, Ashvinder Singh, said Dr Keshmahinder had been warded at the Pantai Medical Centre for the past three weeks as he was not feeling well.
