There are some similarities between Xavier’s portfolio and the EXCOs of other states in the sense that it involves Plantation Workers and Poverty. He also handle Compassionate Government portfolio (another name for Welfare?). While other Indians EXCOs handled Human Resource, Selangor did not have such portfolio.
We are seeing the same trend here. Indian EXCOs are given similar portfolios like what MIC got last time, but with some slight changes. If MIC people kept portfolios like Plantation Workers, Welfare, Poverty, etc without much development, the community excepts this new group of EXCO to make visible changes and progress within 5 years time.
