If the many prospective applicants from other races see no prospect in the civil service, I suppose the number of applications will be less. Further more, the number of Malay applicants are high since it is promoted by the family members, government institutions, etc. They see as just an extension of their family, a big organisation that consists of their kind. I think this is related to the SMSes flying around among the Indian community (I received it about 5 times). The article in the Star did not mention any details, but the SMS said its SM Anderson, Ipoh and the teacher’s name is Kamaruzaman. In order to avoid blowing up the issue, the news also did not mention that he uttered the words “ini agama syaitan” (referring to Hinduism). STUDENTS of a Vision School in Kampung Jawa, Klang, who won a cross-country race did not receive their prizes because they were wearing shorts, Tamil Nesan reported.
