Prof Shad points out that the Deputy in Selangor may have to represent the Menteri Besar when the MB is not around, to attend the Council of Rulers meetings.

The menteri besar is also an ex-officio member of the Dewan Di-Raja (Council of Rulers). This means, when the MB is not around, the deputy has to sit on the council and has to be a Muslim to be able to perform duties in this council.

Well, Teresa Kok’s dream is shattered! Unless become Teresa Abdullah 😆

Looks like Human Resource is a popular portfolio to be given to MIC – Dr S.Subramaniam in cabinet, Johor’s Asojan also has it, and in Penang, Deputy CM Prof Ramasamy also covers Human Resource. Q: The Indian community has said it wants two full ministerships. Have you considered that?

Yes, I’ve considered it but it is not possible at the moment. I feel the human resources (ministry) is an important portfolio for them.And I think that it will give (the minister) a chance to address unemployment issues and provide training opportunities to people in the rubber and oil palm estates where many Indians reside.
