MIC Youth, Wanita to form own branches

Exclusive interview with the guy who defeated Vigneswaran (Kota Raja seat). He talks about his portfolio, representing Indian community, temple problems, health issues, etc.

Interestingly, he says there is only one Indian EXCO in the state because another is in ISA (Manoharan) while the other is still a junior member (Bukit Melawati seat). Seniority can be used as one of the criteria to select EXCO, along with experience, skills, education, etc. However, Xavier said that the EXCO need to reflect the racial composition of the state, effectively meaning a quota system. Now, this is the same thing mentioned in Perak as well. The sole guideline should always be the best person for the job, not the person based on color of his hair or skin. Temples in quandry over cabinet ban

I had a feeling that when Syed Radzi said the application will be approved based on “case by case” basis, its basically a ban. He denied that such a ban exists. The problem started after an announcement in early January stating that there is a ban since 31st December 2007. There were some confusion which even Samy Vellu did not escape. He announced the ban, in INDIA, and later retracted it. The ban was for foreign workers (excluding expatriates) in general from India and Bangladesh.
