Thaipusam Day Part 0

Yeah, I know, Part 0 sounds weird. I am thinking in terms of a prologue, a background to this year’s Thaipusam celebration. This year is not like any other year before it. Due to Hindraf and the rise of Makkal Sakthi, there are calls to boycott Batu Caves. This follows the action of the temple committee to call the police when HINDRAF rally participants gathered at Batu Caves on the night before the rally (24/11). This is like adding fuel to fire, since the committee has been repeatedly accused of misusing temple funds for so long.

Unemployed graduates urged to be NS trainers

I wonder if this is a good move. Are the unemployed graduates qualified to be trainers or should they be first be retrained to ensure marketability? I dread thinking what kind of graduates who are unemployed who will be taken in as trainers? PM asks for fresh mandatesource

Proof that indian community is marginalised

The earlier statistics implied that Indians are doing well, as mentioned by the minister.

However, as pointed out by P Gunasegaram of the Edge Daily, statistics are showing a different picture. Perhaps we can extend the comparison to MP7 or MP6 to see the change in poverty rate and mean income. » Read more: Proof that indian community is marginalised

Umno youth condemn own chief?

Seriously now, can anyone recall Umno Youth show concern on anything remotely connected to the Indian community? This is really cheap. I only remember their deputy condemning small time Indian newspaper vendors for not working on Deepavali! » Read more: Umno youth condemn own chief?
