If I’m not mistaken, the ruling party can nominate anyone to be a senator for example, give the person a ministerial position and put the in the cabinet. Our ex education minister was one such case. Our second finance minister’s also one. Thus, if MCA, Gerakan, MIC all lose, then those ministerial positions can be given to appointed representatives, unless UMNO want to use this as an excuse to grab all the posts.

GEORGE TOWN: If people vote out the Malaysian Chinese Association (MCA) and Malaysian Indian Congress (MIC) tomorrow, then their communities will no longer have a voice or representation in government, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi cautioned yesterday.
The Chinese and Indian voters have to decide whether they want a louder voice in parliament, by voting in the DAP, or a bigger role in government by voting in the MCA and MIC, he said. “It is your choice,” he said to voters, “but I hope the people think carefully”.
“I hope the time does not come when we don’t have the MCA or MIC (in government) any more.”
Abdullah was asked to comment on a possible scenario should there be a repeat of the 1990 general election when Chinese votes swung heavily to the DAP, reducing the number of MCA representatives in government. Abdullah said it would not be in the country’s interest if the new cabinet was short of representation from other BN component parties owing to their poor electoral performance. “I do not want to form a government that is made up of only one race. I want representation from the Malays, Chinese and Indians and other ethnic groups. “I hope the status quo is maintained in the interests of all.”
Can anyone tell me how BN defines democracy ?
1) Every local newspapers and local TV channels (including ASTRO) controlled solely by BN for election campaign .
BN said opposition spreading lies via Internet . But how do we know BN spreading only truth via local media?
2) BN leaders kept demanding people to show frustration via ballot box and not via street demonstrations . But now BN
literally threatening people not to go against BN coming election . One of their newspaper advertisement says “If you don’t vote for MIC, then be prepared to pay the price”. It went overboard !
3) BN said not possible to lower down petrol price but opposition says yes we can . Later BN came with an assurance
that the petrol price may not be increased after election . Why not BN take a smarter way to declare Petronas profit and
expense report to the public . Let the people decide which is lie and which is the fact !
4) Refering to the Malaysiakini report Why is IGP in BN manifesto, asks PAS , can anyone enlighten the people what
the police force has to do with politics , be it ruling or opposition party ?
5) RM1m spent in poll ads first 3 days by BN . Can BN assure the people if the money is not from tax money?
To educated Malaysians , it’s ridiculous if someone vote based on quantity of party flags or posters.
Enough is enough . Enough annoying people’s patience . Enough misjudging people’s intelligence .
Vote for a change ! Vote for democracy !
