April 17th, 2008This was one of the cases that Uthayakumar handled while leading Police Watch Malaysia. The case is still pending because the mother has made an appeal over the verdict.
Anyway, I believe this is the first time a memorial service is done if front of a police station!

Sivanesan skips PTA meeting due to Ministry circular
April 15th, 2008From what I understand, the circular says only selected people can be called to officiate or launch the events. The state leaders can still visit as part of their jobs or as normal VIP. What Sivanesan is saying sounds like partially true only. If any school has health problem – like food poisoning, he would be expected to go there to investigate and get reports, not to officiate some event. April 15th, 2008At least MCA is keeping its word of voicing out its community’s concern as part of the strategy to win back the support from the chinese. MCA has been criticised as being lame in the past. Now, they dare to hit back at royalty!
Now, where is the sole champion of the Indian community and his armada of leaders? Too busy with rebranding MIC? Hope Palanivel, S.Subra, Subra, Devamany, Saravanan, Komala, T.Mohan, Murugesan et al can voice out on behalf of the community they are supposed to represent. No point talking behind closed doors any more. Its time to be more vocal and stand up for your community.
